Impressing the Press: The Release

First and foremost, your release must be newsworthy. Therefore, simply announcing the publication of your latest book will only get your release routed to the round file. Not good. So it's your job to look for a news angle that will compel journalists to pay attention. Remember your query letter? Like wooing an agent or editor, your release must give the media a good reason to print your news...
